Privacy Policy and Disclaimer
- Case content (genograms, ecomaps, timelines) is not stored on our servers.
- We only process account, subscription and sign-in records, and we never sell data.
- You keep your case content, and you are responsible for its lawfulness and accuracy.
1. Where case content is stored
- Free: in the browser you are using.
- Subscription: in a private EcoGenogram space in your Google account, not visible in your file list.
- When sharing: content passes through our server on its way to the other person, but is not stored.
2. Data we process
- Account: email, display name and avatar, Google account ID.
- Subscription: plan status and a payment summary. Card details are handled by Paddle; we never see them.
- Sign-in and security records: sign-in time, IP address, browser and device type, used to recognize new devices and investigate abuse.
- Usage statistics: the editor uses Google Analytics to measure visits. It does not include case content.
3. Who can access this data
We do not sell data. Only these service providers process some of it to run the service:
- Google: sign-in, case storage, usage statistics.
- Paddle: subscription payments, handled under Paddle’s own privacy policy.
- Email delivery service: sign-in codes and account notices.
- Hosting provider: stores the account data listed in section 2.
We disclose data when required by law, limited to what is necessary.
4. How long we keep it
- Account, subscription and device records: until the account is deleted.
- Activity logs: deleted after 90 days.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see or correct the account data we hold, or to delete your account, by emailing support@ecogenogram.com. You can also edit your display name and similar details in Settings.
Deleting your account does not delete the case files in your Google account.
6. Disclaimer
- Keeping your data: case content lives in your browser or your Google account. We have no backup and cannot restore it. Clearing browser data, private browsing, switching devices, revoking Google access or problems with your Google account may cause data to be lost or become inaccessible.
- After your subscription ends: your files stay in your Google account but cannot be edited or exported until you subscribe again.
- Lawful use of client data: you are responsible for collecting and using client data in EcoGenogram in line with applicable law and your organization’s rules, including obtaining any required consent.
- Professional judgment: EcoGenogram is a drawing aid, not a medical device, and gives no medical, psychological or legal advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your diagrams and any decisions based on them.
- Service as is: the service is provided as is, without any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from using or being unable to use the service.
- Age: the service is for professionals. Do not sign up if you are under 16.
7. Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies needed for sign-in and Google Analytics cookies for statistics, and we store your language, interface settings and free-version case content in your browser. We do not use advertising trackers.
8. Changes and contact
