Terms of Service and Refund Policy

1. The service

EcoGenogram is a browser-based tool for drawing genograms and ecomaps, intended for social workers, counselors and related professionals. The free version offers basic features within a single browser; the subscription adds cloud storage, multi-device sync, sharing and export. See the pricing page for details.

By using the service you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to agree for that organization.

2. Accounts

• The service is intended for professionals. Do not register if you are under 16.
• You are responsible for your account. Do not share your credentials or verification codes; actions taken with your account are treated as yours.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings or by email. Deleting your account does not delete case files in your Google account.

3. Trial, subscription and payment

• Trial: new accounts get subscription features free for 30 days. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends; to continue, subscribe in Settings.
• Price: US$6 per month, monthly billing only. Applicable taxes are calculated and shown at checkout based on your location.
• Payment: payments are processed by our authorized reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for your purchase and handles receipts and taxes. We never see or store your card details.
• Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Price changes: we will email you at least 30 days before any price change. The new price takes effect only from the start of the next billing period after notice.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime in Settings, no reason required. You keep access until the end of the current billing period and will not be charged again.

After the subscription ends, your case files remain in your Google account. You can sign in to view them but not edit or export; subscribe again to restore full access.

5. Refund policy

• First payment: you may request a full refund for any reason within 14 days of your first payment.
• Renewals: renewal payments are generally non-refundable. If you have not used the service in the 7 days after a renewal charge, you may email us to request a refund of that period and cancel the subscription.
• Outages: if the service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault, you may request a pro-rated refund for that period.
• How to request: email support@ecogenogram.com with your registered email and the order number from your receipt. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days, processed by Paddle.

6. Acceptable use

When using the service, you must not:

• violate data protection laws, or collect or record personal data without the required consent;
• attempt to crack, reverse-engineer, disrupt or excessively access the service;
• transfer, rent out, or share one account among multiple people;
• upload malicious code or use the service for unlawful activity.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, without refund.

7. Data and liability

• Case content: genograms, ecomaps and timelines are stored in your browser or your Google account, never on our servers. We keep no backups and cannot recover them for you.
• Lawful use of client data: client data you record must be collected and used in accordance with applicable law and your organization's policies. This is your responsibility.
• Professional judgment: the service is a drawing aid, not a medical device, and provides no medical, psychological or legal judgment. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you draw and for decisions based on it.
• As is: the service is provided as is, without guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use or inability to use the service, and our liability for direct losses is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding month.

8. Intellectual property

The software, interface and symbol designs belong to Medical Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. The diagrams and content you create are yours; we claim no rights over them and do not access or use them.

9. Changes and termination of the service

We may add, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will email you at least 60 days in advance and refund any prepaid, unused period.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), and disputes are subject to the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, nothing here limits rights granted to you by law.
